My stay at the Grand Hotel Fuji was, without a doubt, the highlight of my entire trip to Japan. The service was impeccable, the rooms were spacious, spotless, and incredibly comfortable but what truly took my breath away was the stunning view of Mount Fuji from my room. Waking up to such a majestic sight each morning felt surreal. I stayed at several hotels throughout Japan, but none came close to the unforgettable experience I had here. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Fuji area. It truly exceeded all expectations.

The Fuji Green Hotel is a good pick for people looking to explore around the base of Mount Fuji. The hotel is across the street from Fuji station, so it is extremely easy to access for travelers, and there is a small-wheel bicycle visitors can borrow for free if they want to go further than walking distance. The room I stayed in was larger than I was expecting it to be, and had a nice view of the surrounding city. It probably has a good view of Mount Fuji as well, though I stayed during rainy and cloudy weather, so I cannot confirm it myself.

The 2 ladies running the B&B are really kind and sweet. We booked our stay with breakfast and dinner included and it is so worth it as they cooked some of the best meals we had in Japan: delicious local food and every night, we were trying new things and different food. It was really special. The Ryokan is really clean and you get to have a very local and typical Japanese experience. Location is great really and you get to see Mount Fuji from your room if the clouds allow for it.

Our stay at the Mount Fuji View Hotel was nothing short of amazing. The room itself was beautiful, with an incredibly comfortable bed—honestly, it’s the best bed we’ve ever stayed in. Waking up to views of Mount Fuji every morning was an unforgettable experience. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, and their warmth and attentiveness truly made our stay special. And the food… just insane! You won’t regret booking this hotel.

Service was poor. Cleanliness poor. Cobwebs on the ceiling. Comfort poor. Bed mattress, sunken. Pillow flat. Was told to pay Yen300 for an additional pillow. Breakfast, the worst i have eaten during my past 10 days travel in Japan. Restaurants are few in the area and away from hotel. Had to drive out to seach for food. Cater mostly to tour groups. Only good was the public bath. And good view of mount fuji on the other side of the lake.

The house is extremely well taken care of! The host was very kind to keep our luggage when we arrived earlier than check-in time, she also offered to drop us off at the train station after our stay. Also since we stayed on New Year's Eve, she cooked us a special mochi soup breakfast, yumz! Her English is great so nothing to worry about if you don't speak Japanese. Looking forward to going back someday to climb Mount Fuji :)

Sayuri (our host) was just phenomenal, best host ever. Made our stay the best of the best. Gave us tons of information and we felt as if we were at home. She picked us up at the train station and dropped us on our way back. The stay was at a typical Japanese machiya, which was an incredible experience. Super close to main attractions like Chureito pagoda and Fuji Q Highland. Has a beautiful view to Mount Fuji from the balcony.

The host was super kind, she is a very nice person that can pick you up and drop you at the train station. It is a traditional Japanese house that is cozy, warm (I went during winter) and very important for me, it was so clean. Also, our room was quiet big and comfy and, the bathroom was very spacious with spare toilets (one for girls and one mixed). You a view of the Mount Fuji from the balcony, which is a plus!

The hotel has a great location, right next to Lake Yamanaka, with Mount Fuji right behind it. I recommend rooms 202 or 203, as you'll get a view of Fuji. The bedroom gives you a feel of traditional Japanese style. What's more, the hotel is right next to a bus stop. We came from Tokyo and got off the bus directly in front of the hotel, and it only took 2-3 minute to walk to the hotel.

Polite and helpful staff when we arrived to check in. Hotel was very clean and the rooms were comfortable and quiet. Nice selection of food to choose from at dinner and breakfast. The best bit for us was the view of Mount Fuji from our room and also whilst enjoying the onsen. It really was worth the extra journey on our 2 week break around Japan. We also enjoyed the lake walk at dawn.

We really loved our stay in Hotel Camelot! Beautiful view on Mount Fuji from our window was such a great treat! The staff at the hotel was hospitable and responsive, I forgot my sneakers in the lobby and they shipped them to my next destination in no time. We will definitely come again to pet a cat at the reception desk and have a blissful time in Kawaguchiko! Thank you ever so much!

Beyond breathtaking! The view, the setting, everything is just perfect. Could not have asked for a more perfect three nights with my mom. The highlight our our 18 day trip around Japan. Worth every single penny, and we were so lucky to have had stunning weather for the three nights so waking up and going to sleep with mount fuji as the backdrop was something only dreams are made of.

We loved every aspect of the place! The views were incredible and offered a unique experience by themselves. I could spend all day staring at Mount Fuji from my bed; it was truly magical. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful with everything we needed. The location was perfect! We had an authentic Japanese experience that we will remember forever.

Amazing location right on the lake with a rooftop view of Mount Fuji - absolutely stunning. • Loved the free private onsen available at set times, such a relaxing touch. • Breakfast offered both traditional Japanese and Western buffet options. • The private dining experience was a standout - highly recommend for something authentic and special.

10 min walk from the station, view to mount Fuji from the couples room, the room is big and modern looking, clean and comfy. The entrance is beautiful and the coffee that was prepared for us was the best we had in Japan, it reminded us of home. Sadly the kitchen was closed on the night we stayed but 5 years a go when I stayed here it was great!

A wonderful place to stay! Shuttle bus pick up from station. Friendly, welcoming staff. Beautiful, traditional Japanese style room with a view of Mount Fuji on our arrival, and the lake. The hotel’s reception rooms were like a museum, all beautifully kept. We loved the onsen bath on the top floor, a special experience.

Excellent Ryokan! Very beautiful, very clean, the staff is helpful and speaks well English. The diner and breakfast, Japanese style, were sumptuous. We took the room with the open-air bath withe te view of Mount Fuji and it was perfect. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who want the full ryokan experience.

Mount Fuji is right in front of the hotel,; decent Japanese breakfast but not so much for Western one; taking off shoes and placing them in lockers before going to the room was quite strange at first but soon it was comfortable to walk around in shoes provided, and clean; three free parking lots

It’s a cozy accommodation and giving you vibe of living a local life in Japan :) the surrounding area is quiet and picturesque… you don’t need to walk far to Honcho street to take those instagramable picture, just need to walk a bit and you can see the majestic mount fuji (if she’s not shy).

Traditional Japanese hostel. The staff were extremely welcoming and helpful - they helped to book a bus to Tokyo and even cut the end off our walking sticks from mount Fuji so it would fit in our bags. The hostel was very clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend staying here!
